Amersham Band’s brand-new band room’s construction has received a boost, following the donation of 2,500 bricks from a local housebuilder.
The new room is set to completed by summer 2020 and will comprise of a single-story community building with a bad hall, a library, two teaching rooms and other communal areas – as well as more parking.
Caroline Perkins, Band Manager at Amersham Band, commented: “McCarthy and Stone’s generous donation of 2,500 bricks has given a tremendous boost to our new band room project at our site on the corner of Rectory Hill and School Lane.
“The band room will make a huge difference to Amersham band, providing 'providing a state-of-the-art rehearsal space and teaching and learning rooms that will benefit the whole community.”
