A total of 25 new care jobs will be created in Chesham, as a result of the businesses experiencing ‘unprecedented levels of demand’ for its services.
Caremark will appoint 25 new front-line care ands support workers in an attempt to meet the needs of elderly and vulnerable residents in the Chiltern District.
According to the government’s Department of Health and Social Care, nearly 1.5 million people work in the adult social care sector.
As a result of the UK’s ageing population, it is estimated that nearly 600,000 more workers will be needed by 2035.
Tarryne Cooper-Collins, Care Manager at Caremark (Three Rivers & Chiltern), said: “Care work is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling vocations.
“By creating these 25 new roles, not only are we boosting the local economy, but we are hoping to help people find their calling.”
