An actress who has starred in several West End productions will be stopping off at school in Marlow.

Isobelle Molloy, who has played Matilda Wormwood in the West End version of Matilda the Musical, and Young Maleficent in the 2014 film Maleficent alongside Angelina Jolie, will be reading several popular festive children’s tales at Spinfield School’s Christmas Kingdom.

Additionally, pupils of District64 Arts Academy, which counts Isobelle as one of its members and Dame Emma Thompson as its patron, will also be performing at the fair.

The Christmas fair will take place on Saturday, December 7 and will be open between 11am and 3pm.

On the day, children will be told the tales in the specially made Story Den, where they’ll be able to enjoy lots of other exciting Christmas activities.

These include making festive treats in Mrs Christmas’ Kitchen, getting crafty in the elves’ workshop and writing their letter to Santa in the Polar Post Office before meeting Father Christmas himself.

Speaking ahead of the fair which will take place at the Terrington Hill based school, Vicky Lee, who is the chair of Spinfield School’s Parents’ Association said: “The Story Den is a brand new attraction for our Christmas fair and we’re so excited that the children will be able to enjoy such a magical experience of listening to Christmas stories.

“And there’s plenty of fun for the grown-ups too who can shop for gifts in the Christmas market and then recharge with lunch in the sit-down cafe or with a drink at the Snow Bar.

“Christmas music will be ringing out from the wonderful Marlow Minims brass band, Marlow Ukulele Group, Spinfield School’s own Harmonise choir and many more."
