Wycombe Life Drawing - Winter Exhibition

Ian McMillan+ Luke Carver Goss Between You and Me

Last year Ian McMillan, “the Bard of Barnsley”, poet, playwright and broadcaster announced his intention to perform in every village hall in the land, in recognition of the role they play within our communities, up and down the country. We are pleased to announce we have booked him to appear at the Speen Village Hall. His show, called “Between You and Me” and performed with musician and Olympic composer Luke Carver Goss, is described as a hilarious night of words, music and breath-taking comedy for which he has received rave reviews wherever he has taken it. Bucks Pottery & Sculpture Society talk

The November meeting will include a talk by Oxfordshire potter Ian Fraser. Ian’s current work is mainly focused on the naked raku process, which creates beautiful crackle patterns on the burnished surfaces of his pots. The meeting will also include the society’s traditional ‘Christmas’ competition which will be judged by Ian. The theme for this year is ‘Coast’ and entries must include a ceramic element. Christmas Fair

Santa’s Winter Wonderland

Experience the magic of Christmas at Amersham Field Centre Elf School. Santa and his elves are visiting Amersham Field Centre to train a new generation of Elf Helpers. Horatio’s Garden Christmas Market

Horatio’s Garden is a charity that creates and cares for beautiful gardens in NHS spinal injury centres. Please come along and join us for our Christmas Market in Horatio’s Garden at the National Spinal Injury Centre, Stoke Mandeville Hospital which is a key fundraising event. All profits will help maintain Horatio’s Garden Stoke Mandeville and provide a wide range of creative and therapeutic activities for patients to enjoy in the garden, from tea and cakes to garden therapy, music and art.
