Dame Cheryl Gillan visits care home to discuss the importance of the right to vote.
Conservative candidate for Amersham Dame Cheryl Gillan visited the Chesham Leys Care Home to highlight how citizens should exercise their right to vote.
Chesham Leys is part of the Fremantle Trust, and provides expert nursing care for up to 62 people, including those living with dementia.
Dame Cheryl said, “Everyone can have a voice, and it was important to me to raise awareness of older people’s engagement with the political process and for them to feel included.
“The staff do a tremendous job and the care for their clients was apparent for all to see.”
Dame Cheryl will also be visiting various schools, businesses and attending celebratory events.
She added: “The campaign is going well and we are working hard as Conservatives in Chesham and Amersham but I am also continuing to fulfil my responsibilities [as the MP seeking re-election] to my constituents.”
