Forensics and Met Police officers have descended on a quiet village, cordoning off woodland and searching ditches.
For around three days, police officers have been combing woodland in Hedgerley Lane in Hedgerley - near Gerrards Cross - but have remained tight-lipped about what they are doing there.
Even worried residents living nearby have not been told, despite the huge police presence.
And a Met Police spokesman said they could not reveal what they were doing for "operational reasons" but confirmed it was part of an "ongoing investigation".
Residents told the Bucks Free Press police have been searching ditches and woodland areas either side of the M40 flyover and a temporary cabin has been set up at the site.
Pictures from the scene show forensics combing the site and taking photographs and police have even got a drone.
We will update this with information when Metropolitan Police release it to us.
