More police have arrived in a quiet Bucks village as forensics continue to comb woodland and search ditches.

Residents have been left worried after the Met Police descended on Hedgerley Lane in Hedgerley, near Gerrards Cross, last week.

No residents living in the village have been told why the Met Police are there.

Today, more police have arrived and the two-way road is down to just one lane because of the number of police vehicles now at the scene.

Large screens have now been put up protecting the site from view.

A spokesman for the Met Police today would still not reveal what was happening when approached by the Bucks Free Press.

Their statement remained the same: "Officers are currently in the Gerrards Cross area of Buckinghamshire as part of an ongoing investigation.

"We are not prepared to discuss further for operational reasons."

This paper reported yesterday that a portable cabin had been set up at the site - and now there are reportedly two at the scene.

Residents told the Bucks Free Press police have been searching ditches and woodland areas either side of the M40 flyover.

Forensics have been searching the woodland and taking photographs, while officers have also been using a drone at the site.

The Bucks Free Press will keep you updated when the Metropolitan Police reveal more details.
