TV star Lorraine Kelly lit up Bourne End on Friday night at the annual fun night in the town.

The chat show host, who reportedly lives in the village, was the star of the show at Bourne End's Christmas lights switch-on on December 6 - the second year in a row she has attended.

She helped kick off the festive season alongside 10-year-old Mia Groszmann from Claytons School, who won the annual competition to design a Christmas light.

Shops stayed open late as hundreds of residents flocked to the town centre to enjoy a variety of attractions including funfair rides, stalls and Father Christmas in his grotto.

There were also live reindeer, music and the library was open for face painting, stalls and crafts.

Due to huge success last year, the switch-on moved from The Parade to the community centre in Wakeman Road.

Lorraine, 60, who presents her eponymous Lorraine TV show, also met fans in Bourne End Motor Company's showroom and stuck around to sign autographs and pose for selfies.
