A 72-year-old woman is currently in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being injured in a car crash on New Year’s Day.

At around 6.45pm on Wednesday, January 1, three cars crashed on the Cressex Road Junction in High Wycombe.

The cars involved were a white BMW, a black Volkswagen Up and a silver Ford C-Max.

The 72-year-old was driving the C-Max.

Investigating officer, PC Mark Neill, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, based at Taplow, said: “I am appealing for witnesses following this incident, which occurred at a time where I believe it to be likely that someone will have witnessed it.

“I would ask that any motorists who were travelling on the road at this time, and believes they witnessed the collision or drove past it, to please provide any information they have.

“I would also like to appeal for any motorists with a dash-cam to review it to check if has captured anything significant. If it has please make a report to us.
