BERYL Keen, one of Oxford’s former Lord Mayors, has died.
The Labour Party stalwart was a city councillor for 20 years, representing the Cowley and Iffley areas, before she stepped down from office in 2006.

She was appointed Lord Mayor in May 1996 and was Lady Mayoress when her husband Bryan Keen served as Lord Mayor in 2004-2005.

Mrs Keen started out as a councillor for the Iffley ward in 1986.
Oxford East MP Anneliese Dodds tweeted that Mrs Keen ‘helped innumerable people right across Oxford.’
