POLICE are trying to trace a driver who crashed into a tree leaving two people with serious injuries. 

The crash happened on Sunday, January 19 at around 4.15am in Kidlington when a silver Nissan Pixo collided with a tree on Banbury Road.

Two passengers, a 15-year-old girl and 18 year-old man, were taken to hospital.

The man sustained serious injuries but has since been discharged from hospital.

The girl has also been discharged from hospital having sustained an ankle injury.

But the driver of the vehicle failed to remain at the scene and police would like to speak to them.

Investigating officer Sergeant Bryan Smith of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing based at Bicester, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who has details about this collision.

“We are currently trying to trace the driver of the vehicle. Two people were seriously injured in this single vehicle collision and we would like to speak to the person who was behind the wheel when this happened.
