A REVELLER from Swindon has been arrested in connection with a glassing outside an Oktoberfest event in Cirencester.
Gloucestershire Constabulary said police had arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of causing GBH with intent. He has been bailed.
It follows an assault outside the Barn Theatre at Ingleside House, Beeches Road, shortly after midnight on Sunday, October 6. An Oktoberfest party was being held inside the venue.
Police said Tim Unwin, 24, was hit over the head with a beer stein glass leaving him with deep cuts to his face and body.
In an appeal for witnesses, Mr Unwin said: "This was a completely unprovoked and callous attack on me at the end of what was a good night out with friends.
"I have injuries on my face and back that have scarred me for life and they will be an everlasting reminder of this incident, of which I am now suffering with anxiety as a result of this mindless attack."
