Firefighters were called to two kitchen fires within minutes of each other in High Wycombe on Friday night.
One woman had to be treated by paramedics because she was suffering the effects of breathing in smoke after a pan overheated on the hob at a house in Uplands Close at around 8pm.
Two High Wycombe fire crews dashed to the scene at 8.02pm to find the overheated pan causing smoke to billow out.
Just minutes later, firefighters from Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, Windsor and Maidenhead responded to a call at a ground floor flat in Chairborough Road at 8.08pm.
The fire was in the kitchen - and crews had to use breathing apparatus and a hose reel to put the blaze out.
