Pop star Jay Kay’s luxury Bucks mansion could be extended if new plans are given the green light.

The Jamiroquai singer’s Grade II-listed home, Horsenden Manor in Horsenden, just outside Princes Risborough, could have a glass extension added at the back with sliding glass doors and the kitchen could be refurbished, according to plans submitted last week to Wycombe District Council.

The plans – submitted by someone who only gave their name on the application form as ‘Ms Kay’ – say the extension is “necessary in order to provide space for a modern kitchen/breakfast area, that is better suited to a family house of this size”.

The three-storey Horsenden Manor – formerly known as Horsenden House and built in 1810 – is in a conservation area and already boasts a salon, library, garden room and drawing room in the main house as well as a recording studio, granary and garages for his supercar collection.

Jay Kay moved to Horsenden Manor in 1995. He is married and has two daughters.

The Space Cowboy singer is known for his penchant for exotic cars – and sold a trio of rare vehicles through Bonhams auction house in London in December.

The coveted motor cars – a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7-Litre 'Lightweight' Coupé (estimate £750,000 – £850,000), a 2004 Porsche Carrera GT (estimate £650,000 – £750,000) and a 2016 Ferrari F12tdf Berlinetta (estimate £670,000 – £740,000) – went under the hammer at the auction house’s Bond Street sale on December 7.
