A woman was sexually assaulted in High Wycombe in the early hours of this morning.

The woman - in her twenties - was walking in the Pinions Road and London Road area between 4am and 5am when she was attacked.

She is currently receiving specialist help and support from trained officers.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Ami Chapple of Force CID in High Wycombe, said: “This investigation is at a very early stage and we are currently trying to gather as much information as possible.

“We understand this will be a concern in the community, we will be carrying out enquiries and forensic investigations as part of this investigation.

“We would ask the local community to check their personal CCTV and dash-cam footage to see if there is anything which could assist us.
