A major police crackdown aimed at tackling uninsured drivers in High Wycombe saw 16 people pulled over.

Drivers may have seen a large police presence on London Road, close to Riverswood Gardens, on Tuesday morning.

Thames Valley Police have revealed they were there as part of a national policing operation aimed at tackling uninsured driving.

But as well as five drivers being identified for not having insurance, a number of other people were also punished for different crimes.

Two disqualified drivers were caught, six drivers had no tax, one had no MOT, one was using a mobile phone and another was driving with dangerous tyres.
