Sick children at Stoke Mandeville Hospital were surprised with a “huge delivery” of toys and treats thanks to the Caribbean Peoples Foundation.

Carlos Layne and Yvonne David, both from the organisation, along with High Wycombe mayor Cllr Maz Hussain, delivered toys, puzzles and stationery to the children’s ward three at Stoke Mandeville Hospital on Wednesday, January 29.

The CPF have a history of making generous donations – having previously delivered toys to the children’s ward at Wycombe Hospital.

And in 2014, the group arranged a huge container full of clothes, medical equipment and food to be sent to the Caribbean island of St Vincent and The Grenadines following devastating floods.

Their donations are funded through events such as barbecues, car washes, gospel concerts and annual Christmas gala dinners.

Yvonne said: “CPF would like to thank The Mayor of High Wycombe, Maz Hussain, family, friends, ASM in Thame and all who have supported our fundraising events so far and look forward to organising many more in the years to come.”
