A car crashed into a motorway barrier and then burst into flames in the early hours of the morning.
Repairs to the barriers have been ongoing most of the day between junction 1a for the M25 and junction 2 for Beaconsfield following the crash just after 3.30am on Saturday morning.
The road had to be shut completely early this morning before one lane was reopened - resulting in long delays.
Firefighters, highways officers and police officers dashed to the scene, with two fire crews from High Wycombe and one from Beaconsfield putting the flames out with breathing apparatus and hose reels.
