Roadworks that are due to start at the beginning of March are set to impact motorists in both Wycombe and Marlow.

There are expected to be long delays due to the A404 northbound carriageway between Marlow and the M40 being closed for resurfacing works.

It will be closed for around nine nights between 9pm to 6am from Monday, March 2.

In a letter sent by Highways England, the letter said: “We’re continuing to resurface the A404 northbound carriage between Marlow and the M40 to ensure the road remains in a safe condition and improves people’s journey.

"To carry out the work as efficiently and safely as possible, we’ll be closing the A404 northbound carriage from the Marlow Interchange to the M40 over nine nights, starting on Monday, March 2 (between 9pm and 6am).

"During the closures, a signed diversion will be in place between Marlow and the Handy Cross roundabout via Wycombe Road.

“We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption during our work.

“We will make every effort to manage noise levels to keep overall disruption to a minimum.”
