A Swindon man was fined £50 for dropping a cigarette butt in Bristol city centre.
James Wall, 30, of Coleridge Road, was convicted in his absence by Portsmouth magistrates in July last year after chucking the butt eight moths earlier outside Card Factory, Broadmead.
Appearing before the Swindon justices, Wall made a statutory declaration to have the proceedings reopened.
He admitted dropping litter on December 12, 2018, and was fined £50 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge.
