Tributes have been left for a 17-year-old boy who was found dead in Marlow Bottom.

Ellis Battersby was reported missing on February 26 with Thames Valley Police putting out an appeal for the teenager a day later.

However, at around 12.30pm on February 27, police confirmed that a body was found.

The police then identified the body was Ellis.

People have shared their sadness of Ellis’ passing on Facebook with Penny North saying: “Thoughts are with his family and friends, too young to die.”

Michelle Woodward-Moy said: “Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this very sad time with Sharon Bugden adding: “Sending condolences to his family and friends.”

Sally Watson said: “Such sad new, thoughts are with his family at this sad time with Gillian Darcy saying: “Too young, too soon, RIP beautiful young man.”

Following the discovering of Ellis’ body in Marlow Bottom, Thames Valley Police confirmed the news via the Twitter page.

In their statement, TVP High Wycombe said: “Officers searching for missing Ellis Battersby, 17, have today found a body.

"Formal ID has taken place and sadly we can confirm that the body found is Ellis.

"The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.

"Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time."
