A new shipping container pizza restaurant in the Eden Shopping Centre in High Wycombe wants to be able to sell alcohol.

Part of the shopping centre - opposite Tesco - is shut off while the new Pizza 1889 restaurant is built.

The building work appears to have been completed on the site, with the recycled container fitted out with windows and doors and the ground has been re-paved.

There are also benches outside ready for restaurant-goers to enjoy.

An opening date has not yet been confirmed but we have asked Pizza 1889 when it will be ready for business.

This week, the restaurant has revealed it wants to be able to sell alcohol between 11.30am and 11pm Monday to Sunday.

They have applied to Wycombe District Council for a premises license - and anyone who wants to make a comment on these plans can get in touch before March 27.

If you want to comment, email licensing@wycombe.gov.uk or write to Licensing, Wycombe District Council, Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe, HP11 1BB.

Pizza 1889 will have freshly-cooked pizzas made on site using a smokeless pizza oven and visitors to the restaurant will also be able to get takeaway meals.

Pizza 1889 is already a successful restaurant company with other eateries in Bristol, London and Cambridge.
