The people of Loudwater and beyond have reacted angrily after footage shows that the village’s Tesco supermarket is nearly out of toilet roll amid coronavirus fears.
This comes after there have been several confirmed cases of the illness, as well as deaths across the country, with the first fatality in the UK happening at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading on March 5.
People have taken to social media to share their anger and frustration, as the illness was officially labelled as a ‘pandemic’ on March 11.
Belinda Bryant said on Facebook: “Tesco Loudwater was out of toilet roll, paracetamol and pasta on Saturday so hoping stocks have stabilised this weekend!”
Bev Brooker then added: “They [Tesco] should only let customers have one packet at a time.”
Sharon Stevenson then said on Facebook: “They are restricting to five items per person.

“Why would you need five packets? Should be two at most.”
Another user said: “I can understand the urge to buy hand sanitiser but dumbfounded why people need so much toilet paper.
“Stuff like peanut butter, dried fruit and spam would be better items to stockpile, IF you're that way inclined.”

South Bucks has been heavily impacted by the illness since the end of February as Wycombe Hospital’s UTC was temporarily shut due to a scare, and the Simpson Centre in Beaconsfield also being briefly closed due to a potential case.
Two schools in the county (The Royal Grammar School in Wycombe and the Chalfonts Community College), released statements after they returned from Northern Italy during the outbreak, and on February 29, we exclusively revealed that one of the first cases of the illness in the country was a 26-year-old man from Chesham.
Additionally, several patients from both Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospital had contracted the illness, along with a parent at primary school student in Flackwell Heath.
