The people of Buckinghamshire have unanimously agreed that the Government’s decision to close all bars, pubs and restaurants across the country was the correct call.

The decision was made at Boris Johnson’s daily press conference on Friday, March 20, where he and Chancellor of the Exchequer of Rishi Sunkar confirmed the news.

Following the announcement, the people of Bucks agreed with the Government’s decision.

Speaking on Facebook, Adela Hollingsworth said: “I’m glad, and I will be sure to support the ones that closed before they were told that they had to, simply because they cared for their customer's health and that of everyone in the town

Dean Clark then added: “Good.

“We need to stop this thing spreading and people aren't reacting to advice from the Government.

“I feel sorry for the businesses impacted but people's lives are more important."

Elizabeth Michelle Ryan then said: “It will save lives.

“This is what a lot of people are still not understanding."

Currently, there are 45 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Buckinghamshire whilst globally, there are 395,579 confirmed cases of the illness.

So far 17,234 people have died from the virus.

And due to the pandemic, the British Government has urged that people refrain from public gatherings.

Shops that do not sell essential goods have also shut.

Jason Sturges said: “I like a pint with the best of them, but, I for one am happy they've been asked to close.

“This virus isn't messing around, everyone needs to understand - health and family welfare come before a pint."

Shani Moore said: “It's needed it's not forever just to keep people healthy.”

Dan Hemsley then added: "Saving lives matters more.

“Health is more important than money.

“Government doing what they can this situation is new to all of us including them."

And Dan Ackroyd finally added: “If people want to go out don’t complain when you get the virus!”

A lot of people also revealed which bars, pubs, and restaurants they will miss going into as the country enters an unspecified period of lockdown.

Pete Furness said that he’ll miss going into the Jolly Sportsman in Chesham whilst Carl Rogers will miss entering The Keg in Bourne End

Rob Percy then said he'll miss going to the Mad Squirrel Tap & Bottle Shop in High Wycombe as he ‘love their beers’.
