GREAT Sankey High School has donated more than 200 pairs of safety goggles to staff at Warrington Hospital.
With personal protective equipment (PPE) in short supply, the school's science department stepped in the try and protect those working on the frontline.
Christina Kane, deputy head teacher, said: "It is really important to us at Great Sankey High School to support the national effort.
"Like many other schools, we are ensuring that school is available for the children of key workers both during term time and over the school holidays, but, we felt we could do a little bit more to help.
"With a national shortage of PPE available for front line workers, the science team contacted our local hospital to see what we could do to help.
"Yesterday, 240 pairs of safety goggles were delivered by our senior laboratory technician.
"It is incredible to see the whole school community coming together in such uncertain times.
"I am incredibly proud that we are living up to our motto of being 'greatest together'.
"We will continue to work tirelessly to support our students and the community through these challenging times in any way we can."
