A serious crash - which has resulted in a lorry overturning - has shut the M40 this evening.
The M40 is closed northbound between J1A (For the M25) and J2 (near Beaconsfield) because of it.
The crash is believed to have also involved a car.
All emergency services are on the scene and the incident is being led by Thames Valley Police.
Highways England diversion route:
Follow the "Hollow Triangle Symbol"
Traffic is advised to join the M25 clockwise at the M40 J1A, continue on the M25 and exit at J17.
Take the 3rd exit and join the A412 (Denham Way) and follow for approximately 5 miles until the junction with the A40.
At the junction join the A40 westbound towards Beaconsfield and follow for approximately 6 miles until the junction with the A355.
At the junction take the first exit and join the A355 and follow to the roundabout at J2 M40 to rejoin the motorway.
