A care home in Marlow has recently received free flowers and plants for the elderly residents.

The Cliveden Manor Care Home, which is based on Little Marlow Road, received the goods on Friday, April 3 from the town’s Hillier Garden Centre.

This comes after the care home got several cards and drawings from the children of Marlow, as the country continues to battle against the coronavirus.

In a brief statement, they said: “Cliveden Manor Care Home in Marlow would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Phil Goodings, the Manager of Hillier Garden Centre in Marlow.

“Phil arrived today with bedding plants for our raised flower beds and has promised to return next week with some more!

“Our residents’ gardening club planted masses of spring bulbs last autumn, which have just finished flowering, so we will enjoy replacing them with all these colourful pansies next week.

“Thank you so much, Phil.”

Despite being in lockdown, the Cliveden Manor is still taking people into the care home.
