One of the best fish and chips in the country will reopen despite the country being in lockdown.

Oysters Fish and Chips in Marlow Bottom confirmed on April 17 that they will reopen their doors to the public but only on certain dates.

The news comes after the Government confirmed that the country will remain on lockdown for another three weeks.

Gav Singh, who owns the fish and chip shop, said: “We here at Oysters Fish & Chips, Marlow Bottom are constantly getting a number of calls & emails from distressed members of our Senior community.

“Some have not had a hot meal in over several days and Mothers/Fathers wanting to treat their Parents and immediate Families.

“Having observed and adhered to the government's isolation period since Saturday, March 21 and in line with our federation (the National Federation of Fish Fryers) we will be opening with restricted opening times and stringent social distancing measures in place.

“There will be a very limited telephone service available and persons without an APP order will have to wait longer for service.

“We will no longer be accepting cash until social distancing measures are relaxed.

“This is new to us all at the Shop so please bear with us and we serve you to the best of our abilities.

“Please download the new ‘Oysters’ Fish & Chips APP available on Google & Apple to utilise our Click & Collect Service.”

The chippy will officially reopen on April 23 and will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 4.30pm and 8.30pm.
