A teenager was attacked and robbed of cash as he walked in Hazlemere at the weekend.
The 19-year-old was walking on Amersham Road outside the Crown pub and the Trinity Church between 10.45pm and 11.15pm on Saturday, April 18, when a dark car passed him.
The car - which was a Volkswagen Golf or Polo - pulled into the church car park and two or three men got out and attacked the teenager, injuring his face, and stole cash and tried to steal his phone.
He was left with a bruised eye and cuts to his eye and head but he did not need to go to hospital.
The men then fled the scene in the car, heading towards High Wycombe.
The car did not have a numberplate on the front.
The people in the car were all men, wearing dark clothes and disposable gloves but there is no other description of them.
Investigating officer PC Richard Tulloch of Wycombe CID, said: “I appreciate that this incident occurred late in the evening, but I am appealing to anybody who was in the area between 10.45pm and 11.15pm and believes that they witnessed this incident to make contact with police.
“I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone that may have been driving in the area and has dash-cam, to please check this to see if it has picked up a vehicle matching the description or anything that may relate to this incident.
“The preferred method of contacting police is via the online form, quoting reference 43200117276, or alternatively, you can call 101.
