Police officers who helped a vulnerable lady who had run short of essential supplies during the lockdown period have been praised for their heartwarming gesture.
Officers from the neighbourhood policing team were made aware of a vulnerable elderly lady in Chalfont St Peter who was running short of supplies.
With the lady adhering to lockdown restrictions, the NHPT visited the local Co-op store and purchased the essentials - including her special request of both biscuits and chocolate.
Having shared the story on the Thames Valley Police Chiltern and South Bucks Facebook page, many commenters praised the officers' generosity.
One said: "that's so lovely xxx well done guys" whilst another wrote: "Thank you! Have you put her in touch with someone who can help her regularly? There are plenty of us out there willing to help."
Other commenters wrote similarly supportive message, supporting the officers and thanking them for their work during the lockdown period.
