An artisan cafe in Gerrards Cross wants to be able to sell alcohol.

Huddle - which used to be called The Grocer at 5 in Station Road but is now under new management - wants to be able to sell alcohol and provide entertainment.

Espress Organics Ltd has applied to Buckinghamshire Council for the premises licence.

They want to sell booze from 11am to 11pm Monday to Thursday, and from 11am to midnight on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, they want to sell alcohol from 12pm to 10.30pm.

They also want to be able to provide live music from Thursday to Saturday until midnight.

The cafe owners say they will be putting in place 24-hour CCTV to protect their customers and make sure they "conduct themselves in an orderly manner at all times by respecting the neighbours".

They added that staff will have regular training to prevent the sale of alcohol to those underage and all doors and windows will stay shut when live music is playing so noise does not escape.

Posters will also be displayed asking customers to respect the neighbours and they will "discourage" outside gathering to prevent noise.

Anyone who wants to comment on the licence application can do so until May 15. View the full details online at pa.chilternandsouthbucks.gov.uk/online-applications, searching 20/00443/LAPRE.
