A man who broke into a woman's home and subjected her to a "terrifying ordeal" by sexually assaulted her has been jailed for more than six years.

Leon Williams, 34, forced his way into the home in Totteridge Road, High Wycombe, at around 7pm on February 19 and attacked the woman in her thirties.

Williams, of Alford Road in High Wycombe, was arrested the very same day.

He appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court on April 24 charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count each of sexual assault by penetration, trespass to commit a sexual offence and possession of a class B drug.

He was jailed a total of six years and three months, with an extra three years on extended licence.

He has also been placed on the sex offenders' register for life.

He pleaded guilty to the charges at an earlier hearing on March 16, meaning his victim did not have to relive her ordeal in court.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Emily Sendall, of Slough CID, said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim who has shown great strength and courage throughout the investigation.

“I am pleased that Williams pleaded guilty and saved her the further trauma of having to relive the events in court.

“I hope the significant sentence handed down shows that Thames Valley Police takes all reports of this nature seriously and work tirelessly to bring offenders to justice.”
