The stretch of Whielden Lane which links from Amersham Hospital to the junction with the Amersham to Wycombe A404 will be closed for seven weeks from next Monday (May 18) to aid HS2 traffic once construction begins.
Whielden Lane will be closed to improve the junction with the A404 and A413.

A HS2 representative explained: "A better junction here will reduce traffic disruption for residents in Amersham once the actual construction phase begins."
The A404 from the Chilterns Crematorium to the roundabout junction with the A413 will be put under traffic light control to allow for modifications to a A413 traffic island.
HS2 works will be going ahead on sites where social distancing is possible and it is safe to do so.
