A Michelin star chef has confirmed his restaurant will reopen to do home deliveries as the country continues to fight against coronavirus.

Atul Kochhar, who is one of the first two Indian chefs to receive a Michelin star in the UK, will reopen his Hawkyns restaurant in Old Amersham on May 20, with a new scheme called Hawkyns@home.

Hawkyns@home will offer a new menu that features some of the nation’s favourite Indian dishes such as dum biriyani, lamb rogan josh, alongside new creations which include malai hara tikka (herb and spice chicken tikka) and vegetarian lassoni paneer tikka (Tandoor Grilled Garlic-Infused Indian Cheese).

Following the news, Kochhar said: “It’s been an incredibly difficult few months for us all, but I’m really pleased that next week we’ll be able to open our doors again, with our collection and delivery service Hawkyns@home.

“The menu features some fantastic dishes, which I’m sure will bring a burst of colour and flavour to people’s homes.
