A 43-year-old man from Marlow has been arrested on suspicion of driving over the drug-drive limit after a crash involving a motorcyclist.

At around 4.25pm on Saturday, May 30, a grey Audi RS3 was involved in a smash with a red Suzuki GSF 600 motorbike on the A4155 Marlow Road, near to Wycombe District Athletics Complex in Little Marlow.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 70s, suffered serious injuries and he was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

He remains in a stable condition.

The driver of the car was not injured and did not need to go to hospital.

He was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit and has been released under investigation.

Investigating officer PC Nigel Rosier of the Joint Operations Roads Police Unit, based at Amersham, said: “This was an incident in which a man received serious injuries.

“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this incident and we have made one arrest.

“We would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or if you have dash-cam footage of either of the vehicle prior to the collision or the footage that may have captured the incident we would ask you to come forward.”
