A 25-year-old man sustained potentially life-threatening injuries in a crash between a car and a van on Tuesday afternoon.

At around 4.20pm on Tuesday, the two vehicles, a white Nissan Qashqai and a white HGV, crashed on the A5 northbound in Milton Keynes.

The crash happened between Kelly’s Kitchen Roundabout and the exit for Caldecotte.

The driver of the Nissan sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.

There were no other occupants in the car. The HGV driver, a man aged 40, was not injured.

Investigating officer, PC Steve Leathersich, of Milton Keynes Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this collision, which has resulted in a 25-year-old man being taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

“I am appealing to any motorists who were on the A5 before or during this time that may have seen anything.

“I would also like to ask that anyone with a dash-cam fitted to their vehicle reviews the footage to check if anything significant relating to this incident was picked up.
