Having a visiting carer enables couples where one partner may have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s to stay in the comfort of their own home, together and in the safety of familiar surroundings. Having a visiting carer can give respite to the healthy partner enabling them to spend a couple of hours a day doing their favourite hobby like playing golf or simply walking the dog, knowing that their loved one is with a familiar face.
