The players will return on today (Tuesday, June 16) but will train under the new guidelines which have issued by the Government and the Rugby Football Union.

“The first training session will be on Tuesday, June at 7pm sharp with access to the car-park and the grounds restricted to between 6.45pm and 7.15pm, in order that we protect both the players training and ensure no access to the general public.

“The meeting point for training will be the meadow to the right of the club car park as our pitches are still undergoing treatment at this time.

“The name and contact details for every player will be taken at the start of every training session so that we conform to COVID-19 traceability requirements.

“Training is limited to all senior players over the age of 18 only and any player exhibiting any of the COVID-19 symptoms should stay away from training.

“At this time, there will be no access to the main clubhouse before, during or after training.

“There will therefore be no use or access to the toilets, showers or the gym at this time.

“This is in line with clear directives from the RFU.

“We ask that all players that are attending training familiarise themselves with the RFU Directives prior to attending the first training session.

“Strict rules to ensure that social distancing requirements are maintained at all times. These will include:

• Groups of 6 players per quarter of the pitch

• Training will be limited to 60 players

• All players will be asked to keep 2 metres apart at all times

• Hand sanitiser will be available before, during and after training

• Please bring your own water

“Senior players, we are almost there!

“I'm sure you are excited about being able to train twice a week together in groups.

“This is a massive step forward for us all.

“Please enjoy our new freedoms, but accept the rules.

“The hope is that we can move along the RFU Rugby Restart Road Map from B to C as quickly as possible.

“We all look forward to eventually being able to open up the club house and get back to a better social level.”
