The Marlow Bookshop has thanked their loyal and patient customers after the store reopened on Monday.

The award-winning shop on Spittal Street officially allowed book enthusiasts to enter the building and purchase items on June 15, after the Government revealed that businesses across the country were able to continue trading, following the ease of lockdown restrictions.

The store was one of many to shut their doors at the end of March due to the coronavirus pandemic, which is still ongoing.

And despite three months of uncertainty, the shop was greeted with bookworms from all over the town, who abided to the two-metre social distancing rule.

Following their reopening, a spokesperson from the shop said: “Thank you so much to everyone who visited the shop today [Monday, June 15] and bought or ordered books.

“We have had a great day and it has been so lovely to see so many familiar faces.
