Whether its pubs being knocked down to be turned into housing developments or flats or renovated into restaurants, we've taken a look back at some of the long lost pubs in Amersham and Chesham.

Over the years, some of our much-loved locals are no more and sadly many of us would have enjoyed having a drink there to this day.

The Pheasant

Bucks Free Press:

The Pheasant was situated at 35 Plantation Road, Amersham. It closed in 2013 and has since been converted into housing. 

The Rose & Crown

Bucks Free Press:

The Rose & Crown was situated at 264 Waterside, Chesham. This pub closed in 2012 and has now been demolished.

The Red Lion 

Bucks Free Press:

The Red Lion was situated on the High Street, Old Amersham. It's now in retail use.

The Elephant & Castle

Bucks Free Press:

The Elephant & Castle was situated at 185 Waterside in Chesham.

The Iron Horse

Bucks Free Press:

The Iron Horse in Amersham closed in April 2004. It was demolished to make way for flats and a cafe.

The Golden Ball

Bucks Free Press:

The Golden Ball was situated at 7 Church Street, Chesham. This pub is now used as offices.

The Nag's Head

Bucks Free Press:

The Nag's Head was closed in September 2006 and was converted into a restaurant.

The Cock Tavern

Bucks Free Press:

The Cock Tavern was situated at 96 High Street, Chesham. This pub closed on May 29, 2010.

The Griffin

Bucks Free Press:

The Griffin on The Broadway in Amersham has now been converted into a restaurant.

The Nash Arms

Bucks Free Press:

The Nash Arms was situated at 1 Vale Road, Chesham. This pub closed in 2013 and has been demolished.
