A driver was caught doing 43mph on a 30mph village road by police amid complaints from residents about speeding.

Police carried out a speed check in Church Road, Penn, on June 15.

They pitched up just next to Holy Trinity Church to catch any speeders heading along the 30mph B-road.

A total of 10 drivers were warned about their speed and eight were reported for exceeding the limit.

The highest speed a driver was caught doing was 43mph.

Police have urged drivers to "watch your speed" and reminded them about the fatal four - speeding, using a mobile phone, not wearing a seatbelt or drink/drug driving.

Worried Bucks residents have urged police to visit their areas with speed traps, claiming their roads are being treated like "race tracks".

Some of the roads mentioned include Old Amersham High Street, Fulmer Road in Gerrards Cross and Chartridge Lane in Chesham, where one resident took it upon himself to create speed warning signs.
