A car was stolen after burglars broke into a house and snatched a handbag and a laptop in the early hours of this morning.

A house in Southview, Downley, was broken into at some point between 12am and 12.30am on June 20.

Once inside, the burglars stole a handbag with car and house keys inside and a laptop.

The homeowner’s car, a grey coloured Kia Ceed GT, with a registration beginning LX19, was then stolen.

There is no description of the burglars - so police want to hear from anyone who has CCTV or dash-cam footage.

Investigator Glen Mulhern, based at High Wycome police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident of burglary, during which a vehicle along with other items were taken from the property.

“If anyone who was in this area at the time saw or heard anything, then please get in touch with police.

“I would also like to appeal to motorists who believe they may have seen the grey coloured Kia Ceed GT, with the registration beginning LX19. Also, can I ask that motorists in the local area that have access to a dashcam review the footage.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference 43200184576. You can also make reports online, or by calling independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
