A statement has been issued by Lidl following on from the positive reaction that one of their supermarkets could be coming to Marlow.
In the middle of June, it was confirmed by the national giants that they had put out a ‘wish list’ of cities and towns across the country where they would like to have new stores.
Marlow was included on the list along with nine other places within Buckinghamshire.

This was met with much excitement with those who live in the town, but Lidl has admitted that nothing has officially been planned as of yet.
A spokesperson from the company said: “While Marlow is an area of interest to us, we don't currently have anything firm in the pipeline.”
If it does go ahead, it would join Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury’s as the town’s major supermarkets.
The town only has two supermarkets following the closure of Waitrose back in October.
