RESIDENTS have been asked to help Princes Risborough become the best kept town in Bucks.
Volunteers are needed to help litter-picking patrols which are going out in the run up to the annual competition to find the best kept villages and towns.
Town councillor Maggie Wooster said: "We urge people to appreciate our town in such a lovely part of England." She asked people to ensure rubbish is put in bins and to pick up litter, and added: "Residents can help by teaching young children to deposit any sweet wrappings in the bins."
Cllr Wooster also asked drivers not to park on the grass verges and thus churning the grass into mud. The first litter picking evening is on May 23 from 6pm and lasts for a couple of hours.
