This week for Then and Now, we decided to take a look back at some schools and colleges.
This first photo, taken June 1959 in St Mary Street in High Wycombe, shows the cottages around the entrance to Lily’s Walk, with Wycombe College in the background.
The historic cottages are no more and the scene is now cut in half by the controversial Abbey Way flyover.

This second photo was taken 10 years after the first.
It shows the front of West Wycombe Combined School in May 1969.
It was taken from Church Lane - and despite a few outdoor additions for the children, the historic school itself looks exactly the same.
