The people of Marlow have reacted positively to the news that the town will be getting a cinema.

It was confirmed that an Everyman Cinema will be built at the top of the High Street, becoming the second EC in the county, with the other being in Gerrards Cross.

Following the approval, people took to Facebook to share their happiness.

“We have not had a cinema for 40 years.”

Talk of a cinema coming to Marlow were first heard in February with the planning application being submitted at the end of March.

They were approved this month, but it is not known when work will start on Marlow’s very own cinema.
