Police have raided three homes and arrested five men as they probe a suspected aggravated burglary and kidnap.

Officers swooped on the High Wycombe homes on Friday (July 24) and seized clothing, weapons and mobile phones - as well as arresting five men.

It is all part of an ongoing investigation into an apparent aggravated burglary and kidnapping that happened on July 18.

Police have not yet said which roads they raided or released any further details about the alleged kidnap incident.

The arrested men are all aged between 18 and 21, are all from the High Wycombe area, and were arrested on suspicion of kidnap and aggravated burglary.

They are all still in police custody today.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Rachael Peddie, of Wycombe CID, said: “We have executed these warrants in High Wycombe in relation to an ongoing investigation into an aggravated burglary and kidnap that took place on July 18, 2020.

“We are conducting a thorough investigation and hope that the arrests made yesterday will provide some reassurance to the local community.
