Buckinghamshire Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are five of the most interesting projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

1 Terrington Hill, Marlow

This Marlow household has submitted a planning application to construct a new first floor front extension as well as a single storey rear extension.

In the rear extension, there will be three roof lanterns, internal and exterior material alterations and the installation of solar PV panels on the rear roof.

99 Whitelands Road, High Wycombe

Plans for new flats in High Wycombe have been submitted.

If this application is approved, the flats will be erected as part of a two storey/part single story side and rear extension.

Eden Shopping Centre, High Wycombe

A new gym could be coming to High Wycombe, it has been revealed – as plans are put forward for the Eden Shopping Centre.

The gym/health and fitness centre would be above the currently empty Monsoon and Accessorize stores – which are set to become a Cote Brasserie.

Buckinghamshire Council already said yes earlier this year to plans to merge the two ground floor empty shop units into one restaurant space, with the French-inspired Cote Brasserie preparing to move in.

17 Norwood Road, Loudwater

One two bed flat and two one bed flats will be built in the space.

A household has submitted a planning application to create a two storey extension to the front, a part single and a part two storey rear extension and a single storey outbuilding.

Farm Shop, Home Farm, Speen Road, North Dean

The current farm shop on the site may be converted into a residential property if this plan is given the go ahead.

This plan includes associated parking and vehicular access.
