A 19-year-old man was allegedly kidnapped in High Wycombe after a fight between two groups of men broke out on a busy town centre road.

In the early hours of Sunday, July 19, two groups of males were seen fighting when a 19-year-old man was forced into a vehicle on Marlow Hill.

It is alleged that he was taken to an abandoned pub known as Annie Bailey’s, in Chesham Road, Great Missenden, where he was held and beaten.

The man suffered a broken nose and bruising to his body.

He was taken to hospital but has now been discharged.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Steve Fox, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident, which was a frightening experience for the victim, to please come forward.

“We are continuing to carry out a thorough investigation into what happened.

“We have also made charges in this investigation and I would like to reassure the community that we believe this to be an isolated incident.

“Further, I would urge anyone who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage of the local area to review it in case it may have captured something that could assist with the investigation.
