Chiltern Railways has recently been accredited with a ‘We’re Good to Go’ seal of approval from Visit Britain.

‘We’re Good to Go’ is a UK-wide industry standard mark which is aimed at reassuring customers that a business adheres to Government and public health guidance.

The accreditation also means that Chiltern Railways customers can be assured that the train operator is adhering to Government and public health guidance, has carried out a Covid-19 risk assessment and has the required processes in place.

This comes following the ongoing pandemic, with the accreditation being developed in partnership with Visit England, Visit Wales, Visit Scotland, and Tourism Northern Ireland.

Mary Hewitt, interim managing Director for Chiltern Railways said: “We’re delighted to receive the ‘We’re Good To Go’ accreditation and hope it provides customers with the knowledge that the railways are safe to use with appropriate procedures having been implemented.

“This includes social distancing measures and the highest standards of cleanliness at stations and onboard our services.

“I would encourage customers to stay safe while travelling on public transport and wear a face covering if they are not exempt on medical grounds.”

Chiltern Railways also announced the introduction of ‘Deep Cleanse’ teams, which are at several stations which include London Marylebone, Aylesbury, Oxford and Birmingham Moor Street.

This is where items on trains which will be touched by multiple people will be thoroughly cleaned.
